46th Annual Beef-a-rama - Friday eve dance 6-9:30pm.  Saturday 9am - Rump Roast Run sponsored by the
Lakeland Area Rotary Clubs.  The downtown beef cook-offs begin bright and early in the morning along with
live music and other tasty treats.  Early sandwich sales begin at 1pm.  Other all day activities include a craft
show at Torpy Park from 9am to 5pm, kids activities, and of course the famous parade of beef at 2:45 down
main street.  Cap off the day by purchasing one of these succulent beef sandwiches at 3pm at Torpy Park,
Minocqua.

NORTHWOODS FALL ART TOUR
The Northwoods Art Tour is a self-guided tour of 32 artists' studios, many of which are rarely open to the
public. The purpose of the tours are to engage the public in the art making process, and many artists
encourage people to try their hand at the medium. The artists provide demonstrations during the 3 day tour,
and have artwork for sale at every location


October 2 & 3  22nd
ANNUAL GREATER WISCONSIN MUSKIE TOURNAMENT
Ten area lakes are included in this catch & release tournament. Cash drawing and many fantastic door
prizes are awarded to the entrants. More information, entry forms, and regulations are available online. 2009

11th ANNUAL OKTOBEARFEST
For a different twist on Oktoberfest, visit Black Bear Lodge from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM for cabin craft exhibits,
hay rides, pumpkin painting, polka music, German food & beverages and more! Event benefits the Vilas
County Historical Museum.

16th ANNUAL TOWN TREE LIGHTING
The Town Christmas Tree at the St. Germain Chamber of Commerce will be lit at 6:30 PM. After the tree
lighting, take a drive around St. Germain to take in the festive holiday decorations around town.

Annual Ice Fishing Tournament on Big St. Germain Lake. Registration at 7:00 AM at Fibber's on Big St.
Germain Drive. Fishing begins at 8:00 AM & ends at 3:00 PM. There will be cash prizes, raffles, and door
prizes. Entry Fee is $25.00

28th ANNUAL RIDE WITH THE CHAMPS
Sponsored by HotDawg Garage Heaters by Modine. Starting from the Whitetail Inn at 7:30 AM with
registration and breakfast, there are two routes scheduled. The vintage ride group will head to Minocqua and
the photo shoot. The other groups will take the traditional longer ride and return to the Whitetail for an
autograph session, Hall of Fame Dinner (starting at 7:00 PM) followed by the Hall of Fame Induction. For

Sponsored by Arctic Cat, Inc. of Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Vintage and antique sled show and swap at the
Community Park. Show registration starts at 8:00 AM. Music and food all day. Awards presentation at 3:00
PM. Sled registration is $5.00 (max $25.00) and swap space is $20.00 for a standard size area. For

WISCONSIN FREE FISHING WEEKEND
Every year, the first consecutive Saturday and Sunday in June are designated as Free Fishing Weekend
when you can fish without a license throughout the state of Wisconsin. All the waters of the state are open,
including state waters of the Great Lakes and rivers bordering Wisconsin. Residents and nonresidents of all
ages can fish without a fishing license (or trout or salmon stamps) over these two days. However, all other
fishing regulations (length limits, bag limits, etc.) apply. Remember, kids 15 and under never need a license.

4th Annual Fine Art Fair in St. Germain! Held in the park behind the Chamber of Commerce from 10:00 AM to
4:00 PM. Featuring many talented artists from around the area and their works, including but not limited to:
pottery, paintings, photography, handmade jewelry and furniture. There will be wine for sale by the glass or
bottle as well as a wine tasting with fine cheeses to accompany and live music.

BOATER'S SAFETY CLASS
Held at the St. Germain Community Center from 8:00 AM to Noon each day.  A reminder that in Wisconsin
waters, if you were born on or after January 1, 1989, you are required to complete a boating safety course to
legally operate a motorized boat or personal watercraft (PWC). Even if you are not required to have a safety
certification card, earning one can save you money on boat insurance and make you a safer boater.

7TH ANNUAL FREEDOM 5K FUN RUN
Registration begins at 7:30 AM and race starts at 8:30 AM. Trophies and medals awarded by age categories
and separated by male and female. Held in conjunction with the Independence Day festivities in St. Germain
Community Park.

July 2011

July 3 INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
Start your Independence Day celebrations with the parade at 1:00 PM in downtown St. Germain, followed by
a craft fair and rides and games for people of all ages at the Community Park. Fireworks at dusk.

July 7
CHRISTMAS IN JULY CRAFT FAIR
St. Germain’s largest craft fair 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Children’s attractions, pet parade, climbing wall, and a
visit from Santa. Great food is available in the shelter at St. Germain Community Park.

3RD ANNUAL CAR & CRAFT SHOW
Hosted by the St. Germain PrimeTimers 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Kids Carnival 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Brat Fry
and beverages. St. Germain and Pavilion.

Sportsmen’s Chalet. Starts at 2:00 PM with serving starting at 5:30 PM. Proceeds go to trail maintenance by
